The Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) and the Window Covering Safety Council announced a voluntary recall to repair all Roman shades and Roll-up blinds to prevent a strangulation hazard to young children.  This recall involves millions of shades and blinds that can form a loop and cause strangulation. It is reported, that since 1990, more than 200 infants have died from window blind cords.

Consumers can obtain free retrofit kits at www.windowcoverings.org or by phone at 1-800-506-4636.
