The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada announced on March 24th, 2010 a recall for Infantino “SlingRider” and “Wendy Bellissiomo” infant slings.  The manufacturer Infantino is offering a replacement product.  Infants can suffocate in the fabric. There have been 3 reported deaths in 2009 and they are investigating older instances.  The recall affects 1 million products in the U.S. and 15,00 in Canada. Consumers are advised to stop using the the product immediately and get a replacement.
