The CPSC recently urged parents to secure their TV’s, furniture, and appliances to prevent tip-over accidents. Between 2000 and 2008 there were nearly 200 reported deaths involving young children. Injuries and death can occur when a child climbs onto, falls against, or pulls themselves up on television stands, bookcases, dressers, desks, chests, and appliances.
