The American Academy of Pediatrics recently changed their car seat policy and recommended that toddlers should be at least 2 years old before they use front-facing car seats. This replaces an old recommendation of 1-year-old or 20 pounds. Rear-facing car seats provide more support for a toddlers head, neck and spine in the event of a crash. They also recommended that booster seats should be used by children until they are 8 years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall so that seat belts fit properly.

NOTE: ALL CRIB TENTS HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. In the past there were crib tents for standard cribs but none were pre-made for Convertible Cribs. Tots in Mind the manufacturer recently came out with the Cozy Crib Tent for Convertible Cribs. Crib tents prevent a child from climbing out of a crib, and prevent pets and other things from getting into the crib. They also help with flying insects. It prevents a child from sticking their arms or legs between the crib rungs. It is fire-retardant, washable, and collapses for travel. It is good for kids between 0 and 36 months, and is a must for those kids who love to climb out of their crib.
